I graduated with an MFA in Creative Writing degree from the University of Central Florida, where I studied under Jeanne Leiby—formerly the editor of The Southern Review. I was recently accepted to the 2017 Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. Also, I was one of thirty writers accepted to the 2010 Sirenland Writers Conference, sponsored by One Story magazine, where I studied under Dani Shapiro—editor of Best New American Voices 2010. One of my stories was a finalist in Glimmer Train's Family Matters competition. Another was a finalist in Glimmer Train's Fiction Open competition.
In 2011, I had a headline published in The Onion. My contribution was included in the recently published "The Onion Magazine: Iconic Covers That transformed an Undeserving World."
So I wrote a collection of essays using the magic of absurdist humor. The video to the right is a promotional piece I created for the book. You can purchase Huckster here.
