ART140

MoMA | Social + Digital Activation
I helped co-found ART140, a social-media initiative with one objective: to enable all people, from all walks of life, to express what specific works of art mean to them.

We partnered with MoMA and, together, selected works of art. Then we asked people to interpret it in 140 characters on Twitter (the character count at the time). The brevity encouraged contributors to pare down interpretations to the very core.

Ultimately, we broke down the wall that separated the art world from the people who might appreciate art but were too intimidated to express their own opinions.
